Location: Segensworth

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our client's manufacturing team on the night shifts for an initial temporary period of 4-6 weeks. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication projects within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for executing precise welds and ensuring the integrity of fabricated parts, all while adhering to safety standards and quality specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG welding with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Fabricate components from sheet metal using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during assembly and fabrication processes.
  • Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of parts with guidance.
  • Conduct inspections of welds and assembled components to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in MIG welding from within an engineering or automotive environment.
  • An understanding of sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and mechanical principles.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings when required.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work night shifts reliably in a manufacturing environment.
  • A recognised qualification or certification in welding or fabrication is preferred but not essential.
