Are you an experienced designer with a strong background in the marine sector, small craft and hands-on design? We are seeking a Designer to contribute to a range of project-based work across a broad spectrum of design disciplines. In this role, you will collaborate closely with external design teams and clients to develop both technical and conceptual design solutions for new-build projects.

Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed manufacturing 3D models & drawings for the in-house, and subcontract, tooling, composite and fabrication facilities.
- Work closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure a design for production mentality is maintained.
- Deliver original design input in the development of vessels, including tooling design, composites design and mechanical mechanisms.
- Liaise with the Engineering Department to incorporate small boat systems into master 3D models.
- Work on new development projects, investigating new equipment and propose new materials, systems, and designs.
- Create and maintain master bill of materials for new build projects.
- Capture information on the shop floor to produce as-built drawings.
Requirements:
- BEng / MEng level relevant educational background, plus ideally practical operational or manufacturing experience.
- 5 years in marine design.
- 2-3 years demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- A portfolio of previous work would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of small power craft construction & design.
- The ability to multitask, delivering work on time.
- Focused and productive with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience of working on high-end projects.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional experience of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced in 2D, 3D surface and 3D solid modelling design packages including AutoCAD, Rhinoceros and OnShape/Solid Works.
