About You
You will need proven HSE management experience within a manufacturing, engineering or similar industrial environment, together with the confidence to challenge unsafe practice and escalate significant risks.
Essential experience and qualifications:
- HSE management experience in manufacturing, engineering or heavy industry
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
- Experience with risk assessments, incident investigation and statutory compliance
- Experience managing facilities, maintenance activity or engineering contractors
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
Desirable experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or higher-level equivalent
- IOSH membership
- Foundry, machining or heavy manufacturing experience
- ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 experience
- Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, DSEAR and environmental permitting
- Experience with maintenance budgets or capital expenditure projects
