The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our UK-based Finance team in order to maintain the books for the UK and US group entities. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in transactional finance (inc. Accounts Payable and Receivable), excellent communication skills and a passion for contributing to a dynamic, international finance function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is actively studying toward their CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification and looking to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking, tech-savvy company.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
– Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
– 2–4 years of experience in a Finance or Bookkeeping role (covering AP/AR).
– Proficient with NetSuite – must-have.
– Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes with knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS.
Preferred but Not Essential
– Experience working in a SaaS or tech-driven environment.
– Prior exposure to US company operations, such as local tax regulations or reporting.
– Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage.
– Advanced Excel skills
– Currently pursuing CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable for UK and US group companies- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payment through online banking platforms.
– Manage customer invoicing and record incoming payments accurately.
– Reconcile vendor and customer statements and investigate discrepancies.
– Maintain up-to-date AP/AR ledgers.
– Credit control tasks to ensure timely customer payment
Banking & Reconciliations for UK and US bank accounts- Perform regular bank reconciliations for multiple entities and currencies.
– Monitor cash balances and assist with liquidity planning.
– Reconcile intercompany transactions.
Month-End Support on UK and US entities- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
– Assist with month-end close tasks including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
– Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Reporting & Documentation- Prepare aged debtor and creditor reports for UK and US entities.
– Support ad-hoc reporting requests from senior management and FP&A team.
– Help with documentation for audit and statutory compliance.
Employee Expenses & Compliance- Process and review employee expense claims in accordance with internal policies.
– Ensure compliance with tax treatment and documentation requirements.
– Administer monthly travel reports and ensure proper cost allocation.
Systems & Process Improvements- Use NetSuite ERP daily for all transactional finance activities.
– Assist in the enhancement of financial workflows and automation opportunities.
– Maintain financial records in line with internal controls and company standards.

Additional Information
– Location: hybrid with a centrally located London office (in the West End), minimum 3 days per week in-office is expected.
– Travel: Initial monthly travel to Belgium required for onboarding and training.
