WG&CC is a traditional parkland golf course offering all year‑round playability as well as a good challenge for all levels of golfers and their abilities. Designed in 1927 by Dr Alister MacKenzie, who also designed the Augusta National, WG&CC has undergone a significant investment in recent years, including the installation of a “State of the Art” irrigation system and upgrades to all Tennis hardcourts. The Club continues on a programme of changes to enhance its facilities and with membership numbers currently being very robust, is looking forward to many more successful years.
Position Overview: The General Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the club’s operations, by ensuring the club’s facilities and services are delivered to the highest standards. The role demands a proactive and hands‑on leader who understands the unique expectations of a private membership environment and can maintain the club’s strong sense of community and tradition. The General Manager will report directly to the Club Chairman and work in close collaboration with the Club’s Board and other committees. The successful candidate will join a forward‑thinking, diverse, friendly and aspirational Club, and must be capable of leading a team that is committed to delivering a sports and hospitality facility that exceeds the expectations of members, visitors, and guests.
