We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Chef to join our team.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services, preparing and serving meals to the highest standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Working as part of a collaborative catering team, you will support food preparation, cooking, presentation, service delivery, and food safety compliance while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals in accordance with approved recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served at the correct temperatures.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serving areas.
  • Support food preparation, presentation, storage, and disposal activities.
  • Assist with hot plate service and live cooking where required.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
  • Report accidents, near misses, and faulty equipment promptly.
  • Complete opening, closing, and handover procedures in line with company requirements.
  • Attend team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews as required.
  • Support the wider catering operation and undertake additional duties as directed by management.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a similar catering, hospitality, or food service role.
  • Relevant catering qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, HND, BSc Catering, or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working within a military or defence environment.
  • IOSH qualification or equivalent.
  • Customer‑facing experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
