Bar Steward Job Specification
- Maintain stock levels in the bar ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Provide a high-quality service to customers, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and addressing customer needs promptly.
- Engage with customers and take orders.
- Manage cash handling procedures, reconcile cash taken and report any discrepancies.
- Open up the venue and lock up after closing time.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bar area.
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, as required by the business.
