Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and hardworking Bar Steward to support the smooth operation of our bar facilities. The successful candidate will assist management in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, stock control, customer service, and day-to-day bar operations. A proven track record with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep the bar area clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout service.
- Manage and supervise a team of bar staff.
- Be accountable for all monies taken over the bar, including cash handling and banking procedures.
- Restock beverages, garnishes, ice, and other bar supplies as required.
- Remove empty bottles, rubbish, and used items daily to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Ensure all health, safety, hygiene, and licensing standards are maintained at all times.
- Adhere to all opening and closing procedures of the bar in accordance with club licensing laws and regulations.
- Refer any proposals relating to the discipline or dismissal of bar or door staff to the Club Secretary.
- Become familiar with all fuse boxes, water stopcocks, and alarm systems in order to respond effectively in an emergency.
