About Clubmate
Clubmate is the UK's market-leading membership management software for fishing clubs, angling associations, and fisheries. We work with over 350 clubs and fisheries across the UK, helping them manage memberships, process payments, issue permits, and communicate with their members. We're a small, dedicated team—and we're all passionate anglers. That shared love for the sport shapes everything we do, from how we build our product to how we support our customers. It's why our retention rates are exceptional and why clubs trust us to help them grow. Clubmate is part of the ClubRight family, a membership management software business serving gyms, fitness clubs, martial art schools, and sports organisations across the UK and Ireland.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to own the marketing function for an established, market-leading business in the angling industry. You'll be our first dedicated marketing hire, responsible for increasing brand awareness, expanding our audience, and driving a consistent pipeline of leads. You'll work closely with our Clubmate UK General Manager to ensure messaging is accurate, marketing activity is planned effectively, and leads are delivered. You'll report to the ClubRight UK Marketing Manager, who heads up marketing for our sister company and will provide guidance and support. This is a hands-on role with real autonomy. You'll have access to freelancers where needed, and new marketing initiatives are welcomed, as long as they align with our growth goals. Long-term, there's potential to help Clubmate expand globally as we grow. It's ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who's on an upward curve in their career and wants to make a tangible impact.
What You'll Do
- Increase brand awareness and drive leads.
- Expand Clubmate's audience through SEO, social media, events, partnerships, and other relevant campaigns.
- Grow and manage partnerships with federations, regional angling bodies, tackle trade contacts, and other key partners.
- Refine our messaging and positioning to sharpen how we communicate our value proposition to the market.
- Own and grow our social channels, creating engaging content that builds credibility and drives traffic back to our site.
- Manage our website and optimise for conversions, improving the visitor journey from landing page to demo request or enquiry.
- Create compelling content, coordinating case studies, success stories, blog posts, and guides.
