In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of crafting best-in-class digital experiences for our clients, from integrated campaigns and consumer activations, to engaging digital experiences within the e-commerce space.

This position lies at the intersection of content strategy, campaign planning, and user experience design, where you’ll plan and deliver insightful, brand-aligned content journeys that guide the user through a seamless and engaging path to purchase.

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for transforming strategic campaign objectives into a production-ready reality, helping to shape our clients’ digital e-commerce experiences and drive customer engagement.

As well as being a seasoned practitioner, you’ll know how to take ownership of a project and drive its progression through the studio.

You’ll have a flair for bringing coherence and clarity to complex or unstructured information and a passion to transform it into insightful content opportunities and end-user experiences – planning seamless narratives and journeys that achieve both customer and business value.

You’ll possess excellent communication skills to justify design decisions, present complex concepts with clarity and align the working team under a single vision, coupled with an ability to listen and receive feedback, iterate and pursue the best output possible.

As well as a sharp eye for detail, and a meticulous approach to documentation, you’ll bring creative flair and an enthusiasm that will be evident in your work.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who values and develops experiences beyond the functional journey – how things look and how they feel, what we say, the way we say it, and how anything we create resonates with our audience and lands with strategic purpose.

As such, you’ll be a strong storyteller and understand the importance of rational and emotive content, and the role it plays at various points in the user journey from awareness through to conversion.

At Clubhouse, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to work autonomously, but you’ll also be part of a nurturing environment with people keen to help you up-skill and progress in your role.

You’ll have many opportunities for growth and learning through collaboration, exposure to different projects, involvement in new business, mentorship and training opportunities.

How to prepare for a job interview at Clubhouse Studio

Showcase Your Portfolio like a Pro

Your portfolio is your calling card, so make sure it’s not just pretty but also tells a story. Arrange your best UX/UI design projects in a way that highlights your thought process, problem-solving skills, and the impact of your work. Talk about the challenges you faced and how you tackled them—freelancers need to show they can handle real-world problems.

Use Design Tools Effectively

Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD is crucial in our field. Be ready to discuss your experience with these tools in real scenarios. They might ask specific technical questions about how you’d approach a design problem or your workflow, so brush up on those details and think of examples from your previous freelance projects.

Prepare for Client-Centric Questions

As a freelancer, you'll be client-facing, so expect questions about handling client feedback and managing expectations. Prepare examples of how you've dealt with difficult situations or miscommunications in previous projects. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients is a major selling point, and it’s worth stressing how well you can read and meet their needs.

Demonstrate Flexibility and Self-Management

Freelance work requires a lot of self-discipline and time management. Be prepared to discuss how you organise your time, juggle multiple clients, and prioritise tasks. Sharing how you've successfully managed deadlines and client relationships in the past can really set you apart from the competition and show that you're more than just a designer—you're a complete package.
