  • Hours - Approx 30 hours per week, Mon to Frid. Additional hours may be available. Hours are flexible, subject to business requirements.
  • Starting salary - approx. Β£24,000 for 30 hour week (around Β£15.40 per hour)
  • Job Type - Permanent, Part-time

We are recruiting for a Club Secretary for a busy and vibrant Members' Social Club. The postholder is responsible for the day to day running of the club.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Keyholding – coordinate response to alarm activation
  • Greet and assist visitors, members, clients and suppliers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer and manage phone calls, emails, and other enquiries efficiently.
  • Creating sales invoices, checking and paying purchase invoices,
  • Oversee paying monies into bank, till reconciliation, collate and submit payroll data to agency.
  • Perform membership administration, including processing new memberships, renewals, and updating member records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all necessary licences, insurance and permits are in place.
  • Handling and scheduling of booking requests as required.
  • Health and Safety
  • Liaising with stocktaker
  • Recruitment and management of staff alongside the management committee and bar manager.
  • Oversee creation of regular newsletter to members, some social media management, management of letting property.
  • Keep open lines of communication with Committee and Bar Manager.
  • One evening per month to attend committee meeting and take minutes.
  • Line manager to Assistant Secretary and Bar Manager.
  • Ensure staff training is kept up to date.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hospitality / customer service role is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and basic office software.
  • Professional and approachable demeanour.
  • Confident and comfortable in handling cash, and reconciliation.
