At Club La Santa, guests can enjoy more than 80 different sports in state-of-the-art facilities and 500 weekly activities and instructed lessons – all included in the stay! With almost 496 rooms spanning from one-bedroom apartments to luxurious suites, we host approximately 1600 guests at maximum capacity. We are also a beloved destination for many national sports teams and professional athletes. The resort is located near La Santa village on the north-western coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It is an English-speaking resort with most guests from Denmark, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Work & Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Watersports Centre team at Club La Santa you will be responsible for teaching a wide range of water sports classes daily as well deliver the very best experience to Club La Santa guests.
  • You will be teaching both on land and in the water in any kind of level or age category.
  • You will some days be working mainly with kids in the age group 3-15 years old, which depends on the class, and other days mainly with adults.
  • You will be teaching in a lot of different water sports such as Windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle, Kayak and Slackline.
  • We also offer personal instructions where you focus on the individual guest and the improvement of her/his skills.
  • Working within the Green Team you might be required to work in other areas, like Sports Booking, morning runs, events, evening entertainment, etc.
  • You will work on a flexible schedule that is dynamic and changing.
  • You will refer directly to the Watersports Centre Manager.
  • Furthermore, you will be a part of the Green Team consisting of around 60 sports instructors and with more than 450 colleagues across 3 countries, you will be part of a big hotel operation.

Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience within activities such as windsurfing, Stand-Up Paddle, Kayak and Slackline.
  • Preferable: 1 year of experience in coaching, training, or teaching windsurf/other watersports activities for children, adults, beginners and intermediate/advanced.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of how to windsurf.
  • Fluent in English. Secondary Spanish and/or Danish.

What Do We Offer:

  • Permanently full-time contract with 40 hrs. working week and 2 days off.
  • The annual gross salary is 25.020€.
  • One free lunch will be provided on all working days.
  • Holiday: 30 days a year plus 18 extra days of holiday as compensation for work on public holidays including holiday pay.
  • Subsidised shared accommodation at 196.07€ per month.
  • Full use of world-class sporting facilities at Club La Santa.
  • Spanish Residency allowing for discounted travel within the Canary Islands and mainland Spain.

  • Support in organising the necessary documentation required for foreigners upon arrival in Spain.

Important Application Information:

  • The position will require relocation to Lanzarote if you are not already living here.
  • Only applications in English will be taken into consideration.
  • In the application a video will be required of you where you introduce yourself and your skills as a watersports instructor.
  • The minimum period of employment for this job is 9 months, starting with a 2 month probationary period.
  • A clean criminal report and child protection certificate will be required from new staff upon arrival.
  • For this position, there is no set deadline. We are always looking for new talented colleagues all year round.
