Are you enthusiastic about sports and thrive in a customer-focused environment? We have a new opportunity as a Sports Booking Assistant. In this role, you will be the face of Club La Santa. Engaging with the guests, providing personalized assistance, and ensuring their experience exceeds their expectations will be a part of your day-to-day role. Whether it’s helping them secure their preferred sporting equipment, arranging private instructions and memorable excursions, or addressing any inquiries they may have, you will play a pivotal role in making their visit memorable and smooth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent guest experience to Club La Santa guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Hand out and maintain sporting equipment, ensuring it is in good condition and available for guest use.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge about Club La Santa, gaining a thorough understanding of our extensive range of activities and facilities available.
  • Booking private instructions for various sports activities offered at Club La Santa.
  • Booking various excursions for guests such as horseback riding, Teguise markets or a day trip to La Graciosa.
  • Booking and assisting with bus and taxi airport transfers for guests arriving and leaving Club La Santa.
  • Answer guest inquiries with an accountable mindset, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Collaborate with a big Sports Booking team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work with other departments such as events and evening entertainment for ad-hoc occasions of need.
  • Work with back office work answering emails, booking excursions, transfer etc.
  • Lead and educate the Green Team colleagues working in Sports Booking to make sure CLS is offering the clients a professional, positive, and safe service at the highest possible level.

About You (Essential Knowledge):

  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent English communication skills as well as speaking a second language (Spanish or Danish is preferred).
  • Knowledge of working with computers and associated programs (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, etc).
  • Ability to lead, motivate and train green team staff working in Sports Booking.
  • Ability to communicate relevantly with guests of all ages, Sports Booking staff, Green Team staff and wider staff within the resort.
  • Work well under pressure, with an ability to be solution-oriented with new ideas.
  • Self-motivated to professionally develop, participate in team meetings and work independently when required.
  • Smiley, happy person with a can-do attitude.
  • Valid European drivers license.

About You (Beneficial Knowledge):

  • Preferably customer service experience from a sports or retail environment.
  • Spanish and/or Scandinavian language communication skills.

What do we offer:

  • Permanent full time contract with 40 hrs. working week and 2 days off.
  • The annual gross salary is 25,020€.
  • One free lunch will be provided on all working days.
  • Holiday: 30 days a year + 18 extra days of holiday as compensation for work on public holidays including holiday pay.
  • Subsidised shared accommodation at 196.76 € per month (the apartment is shared with another employee and consists of a living room with a small kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom).
  • Full use of world-class sporting facilities at Club La Santa.
  • Spanish Residency allowing for discounted travel within the Canary Islands and mainland Spain.
  • A learning environment with different possibilities to develop professionally and personally.
  • Support in organising the necessary documentation required for foreigners upon arrival in Spain.

Important information for when applying:

  • We can only employ people with a passport from the EU community or with a Spanish residencia and work permit.
  • The position will require relocation to Lanzarote if you are not already living here.

  • The minimum period of employment for this job is 9 months, starting with a 2 month probationary period.
