The Role

Club L London is a luxury fashion brand known for its statement occasion wear, impeccable fit, and trend-driven designs. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Model Booker to bring our vision to life. As a member of the creative production team, you’ll manage all model booking across Club L’s campaign, content shoots and Ecom studio shoots, reacting to new briefs and both building and nurturing agency relationships. You’ll be proficient at writing model briefs to agency to secure the best new faces and talent coming through, and be proactive, resourceful and meticulous in sourcing, casting and booking new models through extensive research.

With a strategic and operational mindset this role will develop a strategy of booking for models that always listens to a wide range of global customer feedback and data. This role will be expected to report and present on model data per collection, locale and model performance, build up good industry relationships and flex these to get the best talent and models at the best rates and have a strategic approach on when to spend and when to save, to get the best-in-class assets the business requires. The role requires an unflappable, driven, and hardworking individual with a passion for the brand who can be reactive and agile to last minute demands or changes.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Creative Production team, responsible for all model booking across the business.
  • You’ll naturally have a keen eye for customer insights and use these to pull together appropriate suggestions for key brand and content briefs.
  • Strong awareness of model and sales analysis, creating monthly report on best sellers from a model POV and making use of this information to make informed casting decisions.
  • Building great partnerships with agencies and developing a pool of “Club L models” that truly represents the brand. Owning all due diligence aspects of castings and understanding the different aspects required per shoot. Maintaining a cohesive and up-to-date model library and notes for reference.
  • You’ll work well under pressure and have quick reactions, turning work around in a timely fashion in a fast-paced team.
  • Meticulous organisation skills, end to end booking of all models incl. travel and hotels, ensuring our reputation in the industry is upheld and ensuring you are always on hand during production for model liaisons.
  • Lead by example, encourage collaborative and professional relationships across the whole department.
  • Taking ownership of all models booked, ensuring on shoots the team maximise the most out of booking, thinking about hair prep, nails, dietary requirements ensuring smooth running of shoots, attending all casting and pulling together casting review sessions with HOD and Production lead.
  • Track the status of each booking and make sure all info is up to date feeding back to sample team, production and stylists ahead of time to ensure all correct accessories have been sourced and booked.
  • Being a proactive member of the team, maintaining ways of working, and implementing new ways to better streamline model booking process.
  • Manage a model booking budget and rate structure for each shoot tier that facilitates confident negotiation skills with agencies. Always on hand to react to international messages and emails during production and booking.
  • Working closely with your Seniors, Leads and HOD team to successfully deliver the department’s strategy, software launches, and contribute to team meetings.
  • Championing the evolving model briefs, keeping up to date with the diverse global customer and ensuring they always feel represented across all customer touch points.
  • Run competitor research on trends and scouting new talent, reporting back on rates, identify areas for review to ensure Club L is always one step ahead.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record as a model booker with, preferably within a luxury or fast-fashion brand. Must have strong ecom, campaign and content experience and a strong list of contacts to build on.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for new faces and emerging talent as well as a good understanding of product and key markets.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage styling inventory, shoot schedules, and product returns with precision.
  • Creativity & Trend Awareness: Passion for fashion and an ability to forecast and execute on-trend looks.
  • Adaptability & Proactiveness: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, problem-solve on the go, and anticipate styling needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate creative direction and collaborate with multiple teams. A motivational and charismatic persona to ensure all global talent is upbeat and looked after on set.
