Club Connective Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading innovation consultancy in the Cambridge area to recruit an ambitious and commercially minded Innovation Consultant.

The Role
As an Innovation Consultant, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic innovation projects that create measurable commercial value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting innovation, strategy and growth projects from concept through to delivery.
- Conducting market, customer and competitor research to identify opportunities for growth.
- Facilitating workshops and innovation programmes with senior business leaders.
- Developing new product, service and technology concepts.
- Evaluating emerging technologies, market trends and future business opportunities.
- Producing business cases, commercial analyses and strategic recommendations.
- Supporting the development and testing of prototypes, pilot programmes and demonstrators.
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
- Contributing to business development activities, including proposal writing, presentations, networking events and lead generation initiatives.
- Supporting organisations in areas such as digital transformation, sustainability, new business models and adjacent market expansion.
About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including consulting, strategy, innovation, engineering, product development, technology, design or business transformation.
You may have:
- Experience within consulting, innovation, strategy, product development or a commercial business environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
- Experience managing projects and delivering client-focused outcomes.-
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building abilities.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business growth and innovation.
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred but not essential).
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work across multiple sectors.
