We are seeking an experienced Garment Tech to join their dynamic and ambitious team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven experience in the fashion industry—ideally within premium or luxury menswear—who is passionate about Product, Fabrics, and high-end product presentation.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Garment Technician to manage the technical development of our products from concept to production. This role ensures all garments meet our fit, quality, and construction standards while keeping development and production on schedule in line with factory timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate technical packs (specs, measurements, construction details)
- Manage fit development, conduct fit sessions, and provide clear comments to factories
- Measure and evaluate samples (proto, SMS, PPS, TOP) against specifications
- Review patterns and grading to ensure consistent fit across size ranges
- Track and manage development calendars to ensure all samples, approvals, and revisions meet factory timelines
- Follow up with factories regularly to keep production on schedule and flag delays early
- Communicate technical corrections and production standards clearly and on time
- Ensure garments meet quality, performance, and durability requirements
- Support fabric and trim selection from a technical perspective
- Troubleshoot construction or fit issues during development and production
- Maintain product records, timelines, and approval logs
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years experience as a Garment Technician or similar role
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and grading
- Experience working with knits and wovens (tees, hoodies, outerwear, pants)
- Knowledge of fit standards for men’s apparel
- Ability to read and create detailed tech packs
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills for working with overseas factories and internal teams
Bonus Points
- Experience in streetwear, fashion, or contemporary menswear
- Familiarity with overseas production calendars and critical path management
- Experience with sustainability or quality testing standards
