Position Description

The Junior D1 Trader will assume a vital role in our trading team, focusing on the European and US TRS (Total Return Swap) book. As a Junior D1 Trader, you will be responsible for executing trades, hedging risks, and analyzing market trends to identify potential trading opportunities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  1. Managing the European and US TRS book. Hedging risks of the book in the European and US market opening time.
  2. Analysing the inventory stability and looking for outperformance opportunities.
  3. Developing systematic tools for transaction analysis.
  4. Developing systematic hedging/alpha strategies for EMEA/US markets.
  5. Monitoring the automated trading program developed by the EQD BJ team during LN hours.
  6. Working with traders from other regions on cross-region arbitrage.
  7. Monitoring and analysing market conditions, news, and events to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  8. Exploring and analysing diverse datasets to identify trading opportunities and market trends.

Requirements

  1. Degree holder in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or related discipline(s).
  2. Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is desirable.
  3. Coding skills are preferred.
  4. Strong work ethic and motivation.
  5. Ability to think fast and critically, solving various problems arising from trading, risk, and operations.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in a team.
