Position Description
This position is responsible for providing operational support to the Sales team. The position holder must have / acquire through training, knowledge of global equity settlements and the related regulatory environment and have good communication skills. The roles described below are rotated between Trade support and settlement.
KeyAreasofResponsibilities
- Input of client sub account allocations to OMS (Order Management System).
- Completion of ‘end of day’ activities
- Support GDR conversions
- Working with Sales Traders to ensure that average price / other information needed by the client is accurately retrieved and reported.
- Reconciliation of client confirmations (where applicable)
- Retrieval, collation and distribution of client static data to the relevant offices
- Providing operational support in respect of placements including completion of blotter / retrieval of signed letters from clients for onward transmission to Head Office
- Resolving any ad hoc requests from clients / internal sources
- Creation and monitoring of trades for any residual EMF trades
- Reconciliation of confirmations (where applicable for aforementioned trades)
- Reconciliations of stock positions between In house system and agent statements, adhoc resolution,where appropriate.
- Reconciliations of Cash positions between In house system and agent statements, adhoc resolution,where appropriate.
- Dissemination of NAV and management fee information.
- Support Ad Hoc booking of global client EMEA trades
Settlement Duties
- Liason with both Setclear settlement teams, regional offices and client base to resolve settlement issues(pre-matching/ pending settlements and fails)
- Updating relevant settlement related information in the appropriate system
- Resolution of outstanding ‘interest’ claims /fails fees with European client base
General
- Knowledge of, and adherence to the Company’s Environmental Management Systems and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’sdegreeholder
- Minimum3yearsofpriorexperiencewithinfinancial services
- Strong efficiency, numeracy, and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
- Familiarity with computer systems and MS Office applications
- Basic understanding of the commercial and regulatory environment
