What you will be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Human Resources (HR) team supporting the Director, HR Governance in leading the development, implementation and maintenance of robust HR governance frameworks and policies for CLS, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory requirements and organizational standards
As part of the HR team, you will:
  • Support the Director, HR Governance on any initiatives to promote ethical and compliant HR practices across all areas of the organization, including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and data privacy
  • Partner with HR Leadership and the Business Risk and Control Team to maintain the HR inventory of Risks and Controls
  • Collaborate with the HR team on all deliverables with Compliance and Risk, including quarterly Risk & Control Self Assessments and risk event management
  • Monitor changes in employment law, industry standards, and HR best practices to ensure that the organization remains compliant
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, addressing any findings to mitigate risks and address any compliance gaps
  • Provide HR Risk SME support to Third Party Risk Management and Procurement
  • Be the key point of contact for HR for all onboarding due diligence team requests
  • Manage the HR key vendor governance program and partner with HR Service Owners
  • Partner with the relevant HR specialist and second line business areas to implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and templates ensuring they are up-to-date, well-communicated, and integrated into HR systems
  • Manage the annual employee handbook review process, partnering with HR Business Partners and the Legal team
  • Build strong partnerships with the HR team and other business area team members to align HR governance with overall business strategies
  • Support the onboarding of new HR team members to ensure there is an understanding of HR governance and risk culture
  • Prepare and facilitate quarterly governance training for the HR team
  • Represent HR for ad-hoc change and project initiatives across the company.

What we\'re looking for:
The role would suit candidates with:
  • HR Governance or 1LOD control experience
  • A good understanding of HR policies, processes, employment laws, and best practices in governance
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, Financial Markets Utilities or another highly regulated industry sector is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data privacy
  • A thorough attention to detail, ensuring work is accurate and reflects relevant information
  • Ability to drive behaviors to foster a risk-aware and risk intelligent culture where employees recognize their role as risk managers and the importance of the control framework
  • Ability to want to learn and show natural curiosity
  • The role also entails responsibilities that are administrative, and we need a person that is willing to be hands on and get involved to execute

Professional qualifications / certifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of expertise
  • Qualifications in any of the following specialisms would be beneficial but not essential:
    • Risk Management
    • Internal Audit

    • Project Management
  • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
