What you will be doing

As a systemically important financial market utility, the operational resilience posture of CLS is inextricably tied to the wellbeing of the global financial infrastructure.

While CLS enjoys a strong and demonstrable history of resilience of its platforms and operating environments, the need for CLS to maintain, monitor and improve the resilience of its services, demands an increased focus and maturity in the way in which CLS considers Resilience.

One of CLS’ top prioritise is Resilience.

CLS has a requirement for a senior role to support the development of Enterprise-wide Continuity within the context of the evolving Enterprise Resilience regulatory requirements and industry best practises.

This role will report to the ED Enterprise Continuity, helping to make CLS’ resilience industry leading.

Supporting the design and delivery of an industry leading Enterprise Continuity program within the overall Enterprise Resilience function.

Develop internal and external stakeholder support for critical initiatives.

The successful candidate with be experienced engaging with Regulators and Senior Management.

The candidate will be required to lead change across the organization as CLS matures the resilience function.

This will require creativity, ideation, industry credibility, experience, strong verbal and written influencing skills along with empathy and the ability to understand others and their positions.

A proactive, change mindset always thinking how to balance service, risk and investment in the service of the corporate strategy.

  • The candidate will
  • Support the delivery of the Enterprise Continuity programme for CLS.
  • Identify the CLS critical internal business services and associated Impact Tolerances.
  • Lead the mapping and scenario testing of the critical internal business services to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Design and deliver the resilience tooling and dashboarding for CLS.
  • Deliver a programme of internal resilience improvement initiatives.
  • Support the transformation of the current BCM capabilities to deliver industry leading, continuity solutions.
  • Plan and deliver staff training and testing of various resilience capabilities.
  • Prepare inputs for relevant governance bodies.
  • Support the management of the Enterprise Continuity teams risk and controls environment.
  • Support the design and execution of the enterprise wide Strategic BIA across all operational assets.
  • Participate in the strategic and existential threat continuity planning at an enterprise level.
  • Enhance the capability and enterprise utility of the BIA, mapping data and tooling.

Lead engagements internally and externally including at Executive Management.

What we’re looking for

The candidate shall have the following experience

  • Experience delivering industry leading operational continuity and/or resilience within the context of cutting edge GSIB and FMI practices and customer expectations.
  • Experienced in business process mapping and using these capabilities to produce MI.
  • Experience of designing and implementing Operational Resilience metrics & reporting.
  • Experience of using Fusion Risk Management.
  • Experience across technology, third party, facilities and people risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of resilience scenario testing and associated vulnerability identification and remediation;
  • Experience engaging at a GSIB / FMI level with lead and global regulators.
  • Experience influencing change at a C-Suite.
  • Experience analyzing and delivering enterprise change
  • Experience managing enterprise level strategic continuity planning including Cyber, Resolution, Pandemic, Change
  • A history of Operational Risk analysis, specifically in the Resilience domain.
  • Good understanding of FX products and services with knowledge of the required infrastructure and dependencies.
  • Experience in the delivery of projects providing solutions across the breadth of a company’s operations; business process, technology solutions, cyber remediation, third party risk etc.
  • Professional qualifications / certifications

Recognized qualifications in the following areas will be beneficial
