The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
This broad role is to assist the Financial Control team in the following areas:
- Assist with month-end close
- Help prepare subsidiary entity annual financial statements and liaise with the auditors during the year-end and interim audits.
- Prepare monthly journals for both legal entities and consolidation, management accounts and assist with regulatory returns
- Implement process improvements to all reporting and internal control procedures
- Assist with preparation of other statistical returns
- Support Senior Financial Controller and Head of Financial Control in creating an environment of continuous improvement to ensure that all reporting is conducted to the highest possible standard, within set deadlines whilst meeting efficiency requirements.
Operational:
- Prepare bank reconciliations and related journal postings into Oracle
- Assist in tax-related matters including VAT (US and Swiss), and US sales tax returns, partnering with external advisors
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts according to accounts ownership listing on a monthly basis
- Raise intercompany invoices for settlement
- Preparation of other statistical returns, e.g. ONS, BEA, Swiss survey, US survey
- Understand balances in intercompany clearing accounts ready for intercompany settlement
- P&L analysis for the subsidiaries
- Prepare and coordinate year-end audit for the subsidiaries
What weβre looking for:
- Ability to work efficiently as a team in liaison with other Finance personnel to ensure month-end and Financial reporting cycles run smoothly
- Provide ongoing support to other finance staff
- Experience in statutory financial reporting and management accounts
- Accustomed to dealing with routine and complex accounting and reporting issues
- Highly numeric with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
