Night Senior Carer in New Malden

About us

Cloyda is a friendly, family-run residential care home for elderly people. We look after up to 33 residents, some with dementia. We aim to create a homely, safe environment for our residents and all of our staff are well trained and committed to their care.

We require a dedicated and conscientious Night Senior Carer to join our friendly team.

Please note we are unable to offer sponsorship.

Hours:

Various Night Shifts 8pm-8am, one hour unpaid break.

Two part-time positions

Responsibilities

• To ensure that a high standard of care is provided during the night that meets with the differing needs of the Residents and respects their rights as an individual.
• To make sure that the residents have a comfortable night, and that they are safe and well.
• To be the first point of call in an emergency.
• To record all incidents and accidents in detail.
• To provide supervision and leadership for the 2 night carers during the shift.
• Complete regular supervisions with the team.
• Review residents\’ care plans, ensure team members follow the instructions.
• To assist the carers in the provision of personal care to residents, and with domestic tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming and laundry.
• To work effectively in a team to ensure that the main responsibilities and duties are fulfilled.

Qualifications and Training

You must have:

• The Care Certificate qualification.
• Experience at the Senior Carer level in a residential or nursing home for the Elderly.

Skills and Qualities Required

You must be:

• A confident, knowledgeable and effective team leader.
• Able to remain calm in an emergency.
• A good communicator – fluent English is essential.
• Able to complete all records on our Digital Care System clearly and accurately.
• Patient, empathetic and kind.
• Flexible and reliable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £16.70 per hour
