Our business has evolved enormously over the last 15 years, from 18 year old Matt at his parents’ home to the multi award-winning, multi-million pound, industry leading company we are today. We’re proud to be the most in-demand and highest-rated events company in the country… and we plan to keep it that way. That reputation and demand means we’re growing exponentially and forever looking for new amazing people to join us!

About the Role: Event Team – Part Time

Our biggest (and most fun) department is our Event Entertainment. In our warehouses, we stock jaw-dropping games and ‘fun’; mainly used for corporate parties, brand activations and exhibition stands. Think World’s Largest PAC-MAN, Giant Scalextric, Basketball Shootouts, Crazy Golf, Photo Booths, VR games and it goes on (and on)….if those sound cool, check out what else we have online). Hint: our first interview question is likely to be: what’s your favourite piece of event entertainment…

We are looking for energetic and passionate Events Team to be part of delivering those unforgettable moments for our clients. That’s delivering and installing our equipment in high-end hotels, venues, corporate offices and exhibition halls a few hours before the event. Then putting a Clownfish shirt on and hosting those entertainment items; keeping guests and delegates happy. We’ll need people who radiate positivity, love working as part of a team and know how to keep clients smiling!

The vast majority of our events are in London venues. We believe that extraordinary events start with extraordinary people that are willing to work hard… so if you’re looking for something super chilled, this job isn’t for you. We’ve installed events and parties at some of the world’s biggest brands including Netflix, Monzo, YouTube, Amazon, TikTok, Apple and Meta.

You’ll need to bring bags of energy, passion, and joy to every day. You’ll need to be happy to engage with our clients and their guests. In return, you’ll get to be part of a tight-knit team that really looks out for each other with a bunch of cool perks along the way. We’ll teach you everything you need to know and encourage you to flourish – it’s been the Clownfish way since 2009.

You’ll also get the chance to get involved with lots of other departments too (don’t forget to mention if you have an interest in technical production, set design and film) as there’s plenty of scope to develop into other roles at Clownfish. Love to get stuck in – whether you’re in the warehouse or at an event? Got that drive to keep bettering yourself and your colleagues? Then this role sounds like it’s made for you.

What a Day Might Look Like:

  • Given the nature of our industry, events can be any day Monday to Sunday.
  • Shifts are often 8-12 hours (including driving to/from event venues).
  • This is not a typical 9-5am and this role requires flexibility.
  • Prepping equipment and loading into Clownfish vans.
  • Transporting, installing and then operating a variety of entertainment equipment and games (see our website for the full inventory).
  • Working as a team to make every event memorable and achieve 5* feedback.
  • Supporting our Event Managers at the warehouses and on events for big clients at awesome venues.
  • Prepping and maintaining equipment in the warehouse in the downtime.
  • Occasional support on other projects (technical rigging, stretch tent building and warehouse improvements).

Job Type: Part-time.

Schedule: Event days are variable and hours are often irregular – this industry requires flexibility. Warehouse days 9:00-17:30.

Hours: Either no guarantee (you can accept/decline shifts as preferred) OR guaranteed minimum 20 hours a week (Monday-Sunday) with shifts confirmed minimum of 10 days prior.

Location: On site at venues across London and Surrey. Warehouse located in Chessington.

Driving License: Preferred but not essential.

Salary: £13.85 per hour, plus hourly pro-rata holiday allowance.
