About the Role:
We are looking for a Content Manager who shows up with ideas, owns a point of view on how Clownfish should show up in the world, and ships work they are genuinely proud of. This is not a pure execution role. We are looking for someone who thinks ahead, creates with intention, and helps push our social and digital presence forward with vision and creative confidence. In practice, that means working a content pipeline that is always planned in advance, while staying adaptable enough to respond to the real‑time needs of a fast‑moving events business.
Content is the heartbeat of what you will do here: strategy, creation, editing, and publishing across every channel we operate. You will know what a good brief looks like, what a bad edit sounds like, and why the difference between the two matters. You will also be the person capturing the everyday life of Clownfish, turning the work that happens here into stories worth watching, sharing, and remembering. You will work closely with our Social Media Manager, who owns channel strategy and platform performance. Your role is to be the creative engine behind that strategy: responsible for all content capture across channels, owning the production pipeline from shoot to publish, and taking full content production ownership of specific campaigns where your creative lead makes sense. You will have genuine input into the broader strategy and the space to bring ideas that shape how our brand evolves.
We want a true collaborator with a creative eye, a bias for rapid execution, and the kind of commercial instinct that understands content does not exist for its own sake, but to build a brand, generate enquiries, and drive revenue. If you own your output, communicate proactively, hit deadlines, and bring genuine craft to everything you touch, you will thrive here. We’ll teach you how to fit in around here and encourage you to flourish – it’s been the Clownfish way since 2009.
What a Day Might Look Like:
- The majority of your time will be spent working ahead on scheduled content, campaigns, and production.
- Owning all content capture across Clownfish channels: social, digital, events, and day‑to‑day company life.
- Creating content end‑to‑end: ideating, producing, editing, and publishing with consistency, craft, and speed.
- Bringing the team into content capture, helping colleagues participate naturally and building a pipeline of authentic, on‑brand material.
- Editing video to a high standard and at pace, from event captures and thought leadership pieces to social cuts and ad creative.
- Taking full ownership of defined campaigns, from brief through to publish, including ideation, production, and performance review.
- Leading strategic input to the content and social roadmap in collaboration with the Social Media Manager, bringing creative ideas that push the brand forward.
- Creating content with commercial intent: sales‑driven video, conversion‑led assets, and ad creative that moves the needle on enquiries and revenue.
- Managing the content calendar and keeping output on‑brief, on‑time, and planned well in advance.
- Identifying trends, formats, and angles that keep our content fresh and commercially relevant.
- Measuring what is working, learning from what is not, and adapting accordingly.
Brand Support & Coordination (approx. 20%):
- Supporting the maintenance of brand guidelines and ensuring consistency across every channel and touchpoint.
- Writing clear, detailed briefs for external designers and copywriters and managing their delivery and quality of output.
- Reviewing work from creative suppliers against brief and brand standards.
- Managing Clownfish branded merchandise and promotional materials, including sourcing, stock, and quality control.
- Coordinating branded assets for events, pitches, and partnerships.
- Managing media equipment: upkeep, organisation, and ensuring kit is ready and in good condition for shoots and events.
Project & Marketing Team Support (approx. 15%):
- Supporting the Head of Marketing and wider team on live projects, campaigns, and business initiatives.
- Contributing to the planning and execution of activations, trade shows, and key marketing moments.
- Coordinating logistics and creative assets for campaigns from brief through to delivery.
- Working cross‑functionally with Events, Sales, and Operations to ensure marketing lands with impact.
- Keeping content assets, brand files, and shared resources organised and accessible.
- Managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and minor administrative tasks that keep things moving.
- Maintaining familiarity with our core software stack, including PandaDoc, PipeDrive, Notion, and Loom, to ensure content and collateral integrates smoothly with how the business operates.
What We Are Looking For:
- A creative with a commercial brain who understands that great content has a job to do.
- Someone who proactively comes with ideas and is confident pitching creative concepts to the team.
- Proven experience in content creation across social, digital, and video formats.
- Strong video production skills: shooting, editing, colour grading, and sound mixing.
- Proficiency in professional editing software required; DaVinci Resolve and Blackmagic/Canon cameras experience preferred.
- A natural collaborator who can work closely with a Social Media Manager, owning the creative and production layer while contributing meaningfully to strategy.
- Experience writing and managing creative briefs for external suppliers.
- Organised and proactive, comfortable managing a content calendar across multiple channels with work planned well in advance.
- Familiarity with our software stack, or the willingness and aptitude to get there fast.
