About the Role
Technical Account Manager
We’re looking for a confident Technical Account Manager to help grow our AV offering and deliver exceptional, end-to-end events for clients across London and beyond.
You’ll focus on building long-term relationships with new and existing clients, turning ideas into AV solutions and taking full ownership of projects from sale through to on site delivery.
You’ll work closely with our team to create seamless experiences and play a key role in shaping our growing AV department.

What a Day Might Look Like
This role is 60% office based, 25% operational, and 15% on‑site.
- Sales Account Management & Business Development
- Receiving enquiries over the phone or email and selling AV and production solutions to new and existing clients.
- Take briefs, understand client objectives, and translate them into clear, technically viable, proposals and quotes.
- Creating your own strategic list of target clients and venues, executing an outbound sales strategy.
- Striving toward new‑sales targets, aligned with our ambitious team targets.
- Project Management
- Own projects from concept to completion, ensuring they’re delivered on time and to our high standards.
- Manage events end-to-end (from sale to delivery) – selecting the right equipment, team, and resources for each job.
Managing sub-hires and identifying opportunities to purchase new equipment.
- Overseeing large-scale events hand in hand with our Operations Team and ensuring flawless event delivery.
- Be the main point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Maintain excellent communication, both written and over the phone – professional, calm, and solutions-focused.
- Establishing relationships with suppliers who we’ll trust to help us deliver our 5-star events.
- Lead onsite delivery of AV projects, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client experience.
- Troubleshoot technical issues confidently in fast‑paced event environments.
- Represent Clownfish on‑site as a trusted technical expert.
- Meeting a client onsite at their office or venue, and showing up prepared and on‑top of every detail.
- Team Leadership
- (within 12 months)
- As our AV department grows, you’ll take on line management of 2-3 junior technicians.
- Support their development, workload, training and progression.
- Help improve our AV processes.
- Add to and maintain department culture.
Reports to
Technical Director.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, standard business hours – flexibility required on event days.
Location: Office-based, with Fridays WFH after onboarding. Occasional on-site on events and meeting prospective clients throughout Greater London.
Bonus
Annual profit share if company targets are hit.
