Clow Group Ltd are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop our engineering team at the UK's leading access specialist. This is a key leadership role, responsible for engineering compliance, people management and continuous improvement across the entire engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the engineering team
  • Liaise with our Departmental Managers, Clients, Architects, Engineers and Contractors
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Compliance
  • Manage engineering budgets, cost control and assist with the purchasing of materials

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering role
  • Extensive knowledge of Mechanical/Structural Engineering principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and engineering compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills
  • Ability to take contracts from quotation stage through to final handover/commissioning

Desirable

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering disciplines
  • Knowledge of CAD Systems (AutoCad/Solidworks)
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in delivering contracts to the Railway Industry
