What does a successful Field Sales Director do at Fiserv?

The Field Sales Director will be a recognised leader of our field-based Business Consultants and Area Sales Managers to grow the level of boarded small and medium sized (SMB) businesses across the UK. This is a short cycle merchant services sales team operating nationally. You will be primarily targeted on levels of new merchants activated by your sales team but you will also be responsible for managing the quality of sales (customer longevity, satisfaction etc). You will be a senior member of the Clover UK Leadership team and responsible for driving the profitability, risk management and strategy of the Clover UK business overall. In this regard, the role will be office based located in Basildon, Essex.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of successful Business Consultants and Area Sales Managers across the UK.
  • Develop sales and lead generation strategies in this business-to-business environment (B2B).
  • Leverage Clover partner relationships to source sales opportunities.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of new business with consistent performance across the whole team.
  • Recruit, retain and manage a highly effective sales team via day-to-day management and devising training plans.
  • Improve the quality of sales in terms of customer longevity, complaint levels, regulatory obligations and standards.
  • Represent Fiserv values of embodying the highest ethical standards and treating others with dignity, respect, and genuine concern.

What You Will Need To Have

  • Track record of managing teams and delivering high level of results and motivation.
  • Experience in implementing and managing organisational change to achieve KPIs and objectives.
  • Ability to use data and insight to drive improved performance.
  • Knowledge of Product Lines being sold and their profitability, risk dynamics end-to-end.
  • Experience in selling a range of value added solutions and deep knowledge of their features and benefits for customers.
  • Track record in recruiting, retaining and motivating high calibre staff and managing performance across individuals and teams.
  • Experience of sales incentive plans and their design to generate optimal business outcomes.
  • Highly effective at Stakeholder management and ability to partner effectively with non-Sales teams.
  • Highly self-driven and motivated with high expectations of the team.

What Would Be Great To Have

  • Prior experience in a quota driven self-sourcing sales environment for small to medium size clients.
  • Prior experience in Sales Scoping and Qualification, Sales Closing and Agreements, Field Sales/TeleSales/ Prospecting.
  • Prior experience as a Manager of Managers.
