Clover Talent are partnered with a growing commercial finance business looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop their sales team. This is a hands‑on leadership role for somebody who knows how to motivate a team, improve performance and drive results in a fast‑paced sales environment. Commercial finance experience is beneficial, but not essential; strong sales leaders from other sectors will also be considered.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day performance of the sales team, improving processes and helping drive revenue growth as the business continues to scale. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in developing team performance, reporting on KPIs and building a high‑performing sales culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and motivate the sales team
- Run daily sales meetings and pipeline reviews
- Monitor KPIs, activity and conversion performance
- Coach and develop team members
- Improve sales processes and CRM discipline
- Produce regular sales reports
- Support with complex or high‑value deals
- Recruit and onboard new team members as the business grows
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sales management or team leadership
- Strong understanding of KPIs, reporting and sales performance
- Experience managing pipelines and improving conversions
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Commercially driven and highly organised
- Commercial finance, lending or asset finance experience
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or similar)
- Experience growing or scaling sales teams
