Independent Non-Executive Chair

Independent Chair (UK) – Confidential Appointment UK – flexible location (majority remote working – some days onsite required) A well-established UK organisation is seeking an Independent Chair to lead its Board and guide strategic direction during an exciting period of development and change. This role will suit a confident Board leader accustomed to operating within complex, front facing stakeholder environments. Key Responsibilities * Provide strategic direction and strong governance * Support and challenge the Chief Executive and senior leadership * Maintain oversight of risk, assurance, financial discipline and Board effectiveness * Build constructive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders Ideal Experience * Previous Chair or Senior Independent Director experience * Strong commercial, governance and financial understanding * Credibility in external engagement and stakeholder influence * Likely background in sectors such as membership organisations, NFP/charity, community-based services, regulated environments, leisure or public service.
