About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults and children with complex care needs and/or learning disabilities.
As a Live-in Carer, you will live in the client's home during your placement, providing support that enables them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
Responsibilities
- Deliver person‑centred care tailored to each individual's needs.
- Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Assist with moving and handling using appropriate equipment where required.
- Administer medication in line with care plans and company policies.
- Support clients with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration.
- Assist with household duties, including light cleaning and laundry.
- Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
- Build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate daily care records and report any concerns promptly.
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Complex Care Experience (Desirable)
Experience supporting one or more of the following
- Tracheostomy care.
- PEG feeding.
- Ventilator support.
- Spinal injuries.
- Brain injuries.
- Epilepsy management.
- Catheter care.
- Stoma care.
- Cough assist.
- Suctioning.
- End‑of‑life care.
- Learning Disability Experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- Learning disabilities.
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
- Mental health needs.
- Behaviours that may challenge.
- Communication difficulties.
Requirements
- At least 6 months' professional UK care experience (live-in experience preferred).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
- Mandatory training certificates are desirable.
