We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to a 14-year-old young person in their own home in Sevenoaks. The individual lives with a T6 spinal cord injury and requires support with intermittent catheterisation, daily care needs, and assistance to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a young person in living as full and active a life as possible within their home and community.

This role operates on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday), Shifts are provided in advance and paid weekly.

  • Deliver person-centred care in line with the individual's care plan
  • Provide support with all aspects of personal care, ensuring dignity and privacy at all times
  • Support with intermittent catheterisation in line with training and clinical guidance
  • Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling, including use of specialist equipment where required
  • Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans
  • Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing, or presentation
  • Encourage independence, education, and participation in age-appropriate activities
  • Provide emotional support and build a positive, trusting relationship
  • Support with daily routines, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Work closely with family members, school (where applicable), and healthcare professionals

Experience & Requirements:

  • At least 6 months UK care experience required
  • Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities or spinal injuries is highly desirable
  • Experience with intermittent catheterisation is advantageous (training can be provided where appropriate)
  • Strong communication and observational skills
  • Calm, patient, and reliable approach to care
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
