We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to a 66‑year‑old gentleman with a C3 spinal cord injury in his own home in Great Yarmouth. The role requires support with bowel care, personal care, daily living activities, mobility, medication administration, and household tasks to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. This position operates on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday) with shifts supplied in advance and paid weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person‑centred care in line with the individual's care plan
  • Provide all aspects of personal care with dignity and respect
  • Support with bowel care procedures in line with training and protocols
  • Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling using appropriate equipment
  • Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans
  • Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing, or condition
  • Support with daily routines including hygiene, dressing, and nutrition
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Assist with household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
  • Support with accessing the community and attending appointments where required
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Work closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care

Experience & Requirements

  • At least 6 months UK care experience required
  • Experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries highly desirable
  • Experience with bowel care essential or willingness to be trained
  • Strong communication and observational skills
  • Calm, patient, and reliable approach to care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
