We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurses to provide exceptional support and assistance to a wonderful young male service user based in Norwich. The service user has learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and is autistic, requiring two workers on 12-hour day shifts. The ideal candidates will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills. You will be working on a full-time rota which will be given to you 3 months in advance and you will be paid weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions in accordance with care plans
  • Driving within the community
  • Manual Handling
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safety at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and behaviour management
  • Experience caring for individuals with challenging behaviour is essential
  • At least 6 months UK care experience
