female Complex Care Worker
to join a dedicated
live-in care package , supporting a young adult client with a range of complex neurological, emotional and support needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a calm, compassionate and understanding carer who enjoys building trust and supporting someone to maintain their
independence, choices, routines and quality of life . The Role Live-in care – 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off Female carers only Support with daily living and personal care where required Medication prompting and support Support with nutrition and hydration Mobility and fatigue management Supporting anxiety, sensory needs and emotional wellbeing Recognising and safely supporting
functional seizures associated with FND Supporting routines, appointments and community access Companionship and meaningful activities Working within detailed care plans and individual support strategies Key Experience The client has
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) with functional seizures . These episodes are genuine and involuntary but require a different approach from epileptic seizures. Staff must remain calm, maintain safety and dignity, reduce stimulation and follow the client's individual FND care plan. The client may experience episodes following
anxiety, sensory overload, fatigue, pain, unexpected changes, lack of sleep or increased stress . Staff need to recognise individual warning signs and understand how to provide calm reassurance and appropriate support. The client also has
autism, OCD, Tourette syndrome and anxiety , making calm communication, predictable routines, advance warning of changes and sufficient processing time particularly important. Medication support is primarily
prompting rather than taking over , with the aim of maintaining the client's independence and control. Experience of FND, functional seizures, autism, anxiety or similar complex support needs would be highly desirable. About You & Our Values At
