to join a dedicated team supporting a young adult with
autism and a learning disability
in his beautiful, spacious and modern family home. This isn't just about providing care – it's about helping someone

2:1 care team

You'll provide personalised
2:1 support , both at home and out in the community. Working hours available: Monday–Friday:
8:00am–6:00pm Saturday:
6:00pm–12:00am Flexible dates
to work around your availability The role is all about creating a safe, positive and enjoyable environment while encouraging independence and making everyday activities engaging and rewarding. One day might involve supporting routines and activities at home, while another could involve getting out into the community. You'll work alongside another team member, so good communication, consistency and teamwork are really important. What You'll Be Doing
Supporting and encouraging independence with everyday routines Planning and taking part in
fun, positive and structured activities Supporting community outings and experiences Assisting with personal care and hygiene when required Supporting safe and enjoyable mealtimes Building a positive and trusting relationship Providing reassurance during periods of anxiety or distress Recognising changes in wellbeing and responding appropriately Following individual care and support plans Working closely with your teammate to provide consistent, person-centred support Helping to create a calm, safe and enjoyable environment About the Young Person You'll Be Supporting
You'll be supporting a young adult who has
autism and a learning disability
and benefits from patient, consistent and reassuring support. He thrives with
structure, familiar routines and positive engagement
and requires close supervision to help maintain his safety, particularly around eating. The right Support Worker will take the time to get to know him as an individual – understanding what he enjoys, what helps him feel comfortable and how to make each day as positive and fulfilling as possible. Who We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from you if you are: Friendly, caring and approachable Calm and patient Positive and enthusiastic Reliable and consistent A great communicator and team player Comfortable following care plans and professional guidance Experienced in supporting people with
autism and/or learning disabilities Experienced within
care and/or education Experience supporting individuals with
behaviours of concern
is highly desirable. PMVA Training Requirement
PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training is required for this role. Applicants should have relevant PMVA training or be willing and able to complete the required training before undertaking duties where it is necessary. Additional role-specific training and ongoing guidance will be provided to ensure you feel
confident, prepared and supported
