We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care for a female client with complex needs. Due to the nature of the role, which includes providing personal and intimate care, this position is open to female applicants only. This is in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, relating to genuine occupational requirements.

The service user has complex care needs, and experience in Stroke, tracheostomy, suctioning and Manual Handling will be needed. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in Complex Care and more.

You will be working on a full-time rota which will be given to you 3 months in advance, and you will be paid weekly. There are working days and nights available.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions in accordance with care plans
  • Stroke experience
  • Medication and suctioning, tracheostomy
  • Manual Handling and Hoist procedures
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Experience:

  • Previous experience in Complex Care is essential
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and behaviour management
  • At least 6 months Complex UK care experience
  • Valid driving licence is preferred for this role involving transportation responsibilities
  • Tracheostomy experience is ESSENTIAL
