We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to a 66-year-old gentleman in his own home in Great Yarmouth. The individual lives with a C3 spinal cord injury and requires support with bowel care, personal care, and daily living activities to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life at home. This is a rewarding opportunity to support an individual with a spinal injury, ensuring he can live safely and comfortably in his own environment with the right level of care and support.
This role operates on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday). Shifts are provided in advance and paid weekly.
Responsibilities- Deliver person-centred care in line with the individual's care plan
- Provide all aspects of personal care with dignity and respect
- Support with bowel care procedures in line with training and protocols
- Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling using appropriate equipment
- Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans
- Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing, or condition
- Support with daily routines including hygiene, dressing, and nutrition
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Assist with household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Support with accessing the community and attending appointments where required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Work closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care
- At least 6 months UK care experience required
- Experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries is highly desirable
- Experience with bowel care is essential or willingness to be trained
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Calm, patient, and reliable approach to care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
