We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client onboarding and ad-hoc project work, ensuring seamless implementation and configuration of various IT systems. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of RMM (Remote monitoring and management) and MDM (Mobile device management) platforms, as well as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace best practice setup and configuration. As an IT Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance our operational capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to our services and systems.
- Plan, execute and manage IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, software deployment and system migrations.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout project lifecycles, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough system analysis, identifying areas for improvement and proposing suitable solutions.
- Implement and configure RMM and MDM tools to optimise client systems’ performance and security.
- Execute data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex technical issues, both remotely and on-site, to ensure prompt resolution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Projects Engineer or similar role within an MSP environment.
- Strong knowledge of RMM and MDM tools, data migration techniques, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, cloud-to-cloud and direct-to-cloud backup solutions, Firewall configuration and network infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
