JOB TITLE: IT Support Apprentice JOB DESCRIPTION: IT Support Apprentice Service Desk (Level 3 Apprenticeship) Cloudswitched is a London-based managed IT provider helping businesses run leaner and smarter on the cloud from Microsoft 365 and Azure to modern AI-enabled workflows. Our Service Desk is the front door to that promise, and we're looking for an apprentice to join it. No experience or degree required. You'll earn while you learn, work toward a nationally recognised Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, and get real hands-on exposure to the technologies most entry-level IT roles never touch. THE ROLE You'll be the first human our customers reach when something isn't working and the person who turns a frustrated user into a confident one. With full support from our engineers, you'll learn to: - Be the first point of contact for inbound tickets, calls, and chats triage, log, and prioritise - Diagnose and resolve everyday issues across desktops, laptops, accounts, connectivity, and business apps - Support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and everyday Azure / Entra ID tasks password resets, licensing, MFA, access - Keep customers updated and see tickets through to a clean close - Escalate to senior engineers with clear, reproducible notes - Contribute to our knowledge base so a solved problem stays solved WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR You don't need to know everything on day one we'll help you grow the technical side. You do need to be: - A clear, warm communicator you explain things simply and listen properly; customers should feel smarter after talking to you, not smaller - Genuinely upbeat a hard ticket or a stressed caller doesn't dim you - A natural problem-solver curious, logical, and keen to find the root cause - Organised and reliable you follow through on your promises - Interested in tech home labs, PC builds, self-taught skills and "being the person everyone comes to when their tech breaks" all count You'll need GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) for the apprenticeship. WHAT YOU'LL GET - A paid, full-time role with a Level 3 qualification around 6 hours a week of your working time is dedicated study - Funded certifications and paid study time beyond the apprenticeship (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco paths) - Clear progression: apprentice to 1st line, then 2nd/3rd line, cloud, or security specialisms - Real exposure to Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot and AI-driven service delivery - A supportive, high-energy team that celebrates wins - Office based at St Katharine Docks, next to Tower Bridge (London E1W) Start date: September/October 2026.
