The Role

We're looking for an Apprentice IT Support Engineer to join our team. You'll learn from senior engineers while working on live customer environments - Microsoft 365, Azure, Cisco Meraki networks, and the day-to-day issues that keep SMEs running. This is a structured apprenticeship: you'll earn while you learn, gain industry-recognised certifications, and build a real career in IT.

Location & Hours

Office - New London House, 6 London St, London EC3R 7LP (Tower Hill / Fenchurch Street)
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
Remote role

What You'll Do

  • Be the friendly first point of contact on the helpdesk - phone, email and ticket
  • Triage and resolve Tier 1 issues: password resets, account setup, printer/peripheral problems, basic network connectivity
  • Shadow senior engineers on Microsoft 365, Azure, and Cisco Meraki work
  • Assist with new user onboarding, device builds and asset tracking
  • Document fixes clearly so the next person (and the customer) can follow them
  • Help out on planned work: office moves, hardware refreshes, on-site visits across London
  • Keep customers informed - clear updates, plain English, no fobbing off

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Eligible for a UK apprenticeship (typically aged 16+, not in full-time education, with the GCSEs required by the apprenticeship provider - usually Maths and English at grade 4/C or above)
  • Genuine interest in IT and a curiosity about how things work
  • Good communicator - friendly, patient, written and spoken English
  • Reliable, organised and happy to ask questions

Nice to have (not required)

  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, basic Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
  • A+, Microsoft Fundamentals (MS-900, AZ-900) or similar self-study
  • Any customer service experience.
