You will be present when someone needs help with their on-site workspace, when equipment needs to be diagnosed or fixed, or when we need to prepare a space technically for a company gathering. You will work closely with other teams, especially IT Ops, focusing on business and people enablement with technology. You’ll be part of a wider business operations team providing support to all Cloudsmithers on site.

Note: You must have the right to work without sponsorship and reside in Northern Ireland within a commutable distance to our Belfast HQ. All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of background checks, which are required for every role at Cloudsmith.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support at Cloudsmith HQ for the lifecycle of laptops and other technology-related equipment, including handovers and collections.
  • Resolve on-site hardware issues such as faults for displays, cameras, phones, printers, and networks.
  • Coordinate with facilities and vendors to resolve infrastructure issues, including network outages and access control.
  • Work with warehousing and procurement partners to track, receive, ship, and store hardware and accessories.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage shipments from HQ as required.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding workflows involving workspace logistics or physical setups.
  • Prepare and manage AV, power, and internet access for company offsites and team events.
  • Assist staff with using procurement portals and self-service tools to request equipment.
  • Create and maintain guides, manuals, and short videos to help staff use workplace tools and resolve common issues.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team on regular cost reviews of equipment vendors and budget alignment.
  • Escalate identity, access, or corporate systems issues to the IT Ops team.
  • Be flexible to cover other operational roles as required, including supporting IT Ops with general IT asks and HQ operations such as opening/securing the Cloudsmith HQ.

What We’re Looking For

  • Confident, personable communicator who enjoys helping others and can document repeatable processes for IT/Operations SOPs.
  • Hands-on experience with Mac laptops, AV equipment, displays, and networking gear.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues.
  • Experience supporting Slack, Google Workspace, and Apple devices.
  • Highly organized in maintaining inventories and tracking hardware.
  • Proactive, practical, and able to take ownership of tasks and follow through.
  • Able to lift, move, and set up equipment or prepare rooms for meetings and events.
  • Based near Belfast and available to be on-site at HQ, with essential quarterly attendance at company offsites.
  • Passionate about contributing to a growing Northern Irish company and collaborating with Finance, HR, and Business Operations.

This role is designed for someone looking to grow and learn, with opportunities to understand the inner workings of a startup SaaS business.

Working With Others

  • Use Slack channels to triage and route requests.
  • Provide front-line support to a 130+ strong workforce with varying needs; be patient, friendly, and methodical.

Location and Work Environment

  • This is an in-person role based in Belfast city centre.
  • Quarterly attendance on location is required to support team events and offsites.
