We are seeking a motivated SDR who will identify and qualify potential leads to create sales opportunities for the sales team. This role is in a fast-growing Series B scale-up.

The Role

As an SDR, you'll report into an SDR Lead as part of a team. You'll be the front line of Cloudsmith's sales efforts, responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective customers. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to create a robust pipeline and ensure the success of our sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Outreach: Identify and research prospective mid-market and enterprise accounts; initiate and manage outbound communication through email, phone calls and social media; build and nurture strong relationships with prospects.
  • Qualifying Leads: Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' pain points and challenges; qualify leads by evaluating their fit for Cloudsmith's solutions and schedule meetings for Account Executives.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the SDR Team Lead and Marketing to ensure alignment on strategies and campaigns; share insights from prospect interactions to refine outreach and content strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training sessions and coaching to refine techniques and product knowledge; stay informed on Cloudsmith's offerings, industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Reporting and CRM Management: Keep accurate records of prospect interactions in the CRM (HubSpot & Salesforce); track activities and outcomes, contributing to team performance analytics.

Required Experience, Qualities & Skills

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in sales within the IT sector; ideally sold or prospected software, cloud, or DevOps solutions. 1–2 years sales/prospecting experience. Proficiency with CRM and sales prospecting tools and web-based conferencing systems (Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce.com, Intercom and Zoom). Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals with a solid track record. Familiarity with sales strategies like email sequences, cold calling and social selling.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Tech-Savvy: Comfortable engaging with technical buyers and understanding DevOps, cloud, or CI/CD processes. Curious and Coachable: Eager to learn, adapt to feedback and grow within a fast-paced environment. Excellent Communicator: Clear and professional in verbal and written communication.
