Overview

In this role you will partner with managers to support people-related issues, shape policies, and oversee HR initiatives as Cloudsmith scales. You’ll work closely with the HR Administrator and cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent employee experience across multiple jurisdictions. The role emphasizes advisory support, policy development, and project ownership to improve engagement and people operations. This is a hands-on partner position in a fast-paced, hybrid environment with a clear impact on the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers on performance, conduct, and employee relations; coach managers through difficult conversations
  • Administer maternity/paternity and parental leave; maintain accurate HRIS and payroll records
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding; deliver inductions and conduct exit interviews with feedback actions
  • Manage benefits across NI, GB, RoI, and US; lead benefits review and support compensation benchmarking
  • Oversee L&D workflow and Go1 platform; report on completions and impact
  • Support HR policy writing and maintenance; own HRNotion workspace; lead policy reviews
  • Own defined HR projects from scope to delivery (e.g., employee surveys, US employer portal) and drive process improvements
  • Track absence, turnover, engagement, probation outcomes; support statutory reporting (Equality Commission/Article 55) and BambooHR data integrity

Key requirements

  • 3–5+ years in a generalist HR role, preferably in tech
  • CIPD or equivalent qualification desirable
  • Solid knowledge of employment law across NI, GB, RoI; familiarity with US employment/benefits
  • Experience with hybrid/async work and Slack
  • Track record advising managers on ER, performance, and sensitive issues
  • Experience with benefits administration across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong policy-writing ability; clear and usable HR policies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with BambooHR and tools like Notion, Google Workspace
