Role Overview: This role leads the accounting function for worldwide operations, ensuring efficient, accurate and timely accounting activities and compliance with US GAAP. The role collaborates with HR, FP to oversee the accounting team; ensure system, policy and procedure support and efficient processes that provide accurate and timely financial information.
Financial Policies: Ensure reliability and integrity of data; ensure compliance with financial regulations across jurisdictions.
Consolidation: Manage end-to-end annual audit process; maintain relationships with external auditors and advisors; produce high-quality accounting papers.
External Providers: Assist in selecting/managing external providers for accounting, audit, payroll, tax and compliance across locations.
Technical Accounting: Oversee technical accounting matters; research and document complex transactions; interpret US GAAP and assess impact on international entities.
Revenue: Manage credit control; oversee procure-to-pay and quote-to-cash processes; supervise global payroll; manage working capital and banking portals.
System Design: Redesign chart of accounts and data flows; participate in selecting/implementing modules like subscription management, procurement, AP, tax, and others.
Tax: Coordinate transfer pricing with external advisors to ensure compliance and value.
Qualifications: Ability to identify talent. Proficient with Sage Intacct or similar (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle); experience with selection/implementation of such systems preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Team player, adaptable and proactive.
