We’re supporting a client exclusively, in the search for an experienced IT technician, with 2nd line support experience. Our client is one of the leading Tech support businesses in East Anglia, operating in several counties, with year-on-year growth. You’ll join their experienced team, in Cambridge and have access to the newest and emerging support technologies. The role will be hybrid remote after probation and is Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekends.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and supporting small and medium business networks.
  • Supporting PCs and servers remotely and on-site (Win10, Win11, 2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022).
  • Installing business computer systems.
  • Office 365 maintenance, installation and migration, DNS.
  • Supporting customer applications and setting up email accounts Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019.
  • Administration of IP Phone systems (via web-based interface).
  • Working with a diverse client base in different industry sectors.
  • Taking on technical lead responsibilities helping to shape and develop clients long-term IT Strategies.
  • Opportunity to specialise in specific industry sectors helping to shape and develop the platform.

The Candidate:

  • Experience with most of the following: Active Directory/Azure AD implementation, Office 365, Sharepoint deployment, server alerts, network switches, firewall, SSL vpn integration, backup setups & troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoy a client facing support role.
  • Ideally have experience supporting SME’s with IT solutions.
  • This role will suit an individual looking to join an established technology support company and be part of a growing team of around 75.
  • You’ll be happy travelling to both the office and local client sites as fundamentals and want to extend your experience in a development-focused organisation.
