What Makes This Role Exciting
This role is pivotal in accelerating our revenue growth and success in the Mid-Market space. The Senior Mid-Market Account Executive will be responsible for delivering exceptional results within their territory by building a robust pipeline of upper mid-market opportunities, delivering a strong prospect experience throughout the sales lifecycle, and expanding CloudPay’s market share in the Mid-market segment. The ideal candidate will understand the payroll and HR technology landscape, have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth through Sales Excellence: Meet or exceed revenue targets at a Senior level
- Drive pipeline growth through lead generation and active prospecting, working to KPI’s
- Develop market penetration plans to target best-performing markets
- Lead high-level negotiations with major customers with extensive objection-handling knowledge
- Qualify new business opportunities through customer acquisition and discovery
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand CloudPay’s customer base
- Collaborate with the team BDR & Marketing to build a strong pipeline
- Contribute to CloudPay’s Go-To-Market through capturing Voice of the Customer
- Cross-functional collaboration to develop a compelling value proposition
- Provide sales development coaching and mentorship to junior team members
- Partner engagement: Work independently and with Strategic Alliances to build and leverage partner relationships in the HCM ecosystem
- Build and leverage mid-market specific partnerships to accelerate pipeline growth
- Provide feedback to the product team about market demands and customer preferences
- Own the Workday partnership for Mid-Market segment in the UK & Europe
- Market Insights & Industry presence: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback
- Attend industry events and conferences and provide feedback on market trends
Experience Needed For This Role
- Extensive experience selling full sales cycle, closing deals $100k and above, preferably in the payroll, HR or SaaS industry
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and workforce management solutions
- Proven track record closing mid-market deals with revenue targets and strong negotiating skills
- Direct experience selling to mid-market clients, including functional owners and C-suite
- Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of MEDDPIC with ability to conduct high-level discovery
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer data, and sales metrics
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication, presenting complex solutions
- Strategic thinking, task prioritization, and multi-project management
