About This Job Opportunity
We’re seeking a talented and driven External Communications Manager to lead the development of compelling narratives that enhance CloudPay’s reputation as a global leader in payroll and payments. In this high-impact role, you’ll play a key part in defining our voice across external channels—building strong relationships, influencing key stakeholders, and delivering measurable brand impact.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute proactive campaigns, activities, and announcements that support our corporate message and interest our audiences
- Use your excellent writing skills to create external communications content, from contributed articles to press releases and corporate presentations
- Work closely with content and demand gen marketing colleagues to align messaging and maximise the return on defined content and communications activities
- Liaise with CloudPay subject matter experts and senior executives to organise and prepare for journalist interviews and other external speaking opportunities
- Develop and drive our PR strategy, identify trends that affect our business, and create media opportunities that grow our external profile. Manage our retained PR agency to maximise commercial return.
- Spearhead our analyst relations and industry influencer strategy to build CloudPay’s reputation through briefings, meetings, and initiatives to meet our aim of being recognised as a Leader in key multi-country payroll market assessments
- Set, track, and report KPIs relating to the above areas to ensure all activity is outcome and performance-focused
- Lead our awards program, creating submissions that inspire and win!
Attributes and Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience in a B2B marketing environment in similar External Communication roles that are focused on developing a corporate reputation; a mix of in-house and agency experience is preferable
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels to Board/ C-suite level, plus develop and manage required agency/supplier relationships to undertake required projects
- Proven ability to drive change through a complex business and deal with multiple demanding stakeholders
- Able to translate business objectives into measurable goals and KPIs
- Clear and precise communicator with excellent copywriting, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organised with high standards
- Ambitious self-starter with proven ability to be energised by a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proactive, flexible, creative thinker with problem-solving skills – the ability to anticipate problems and put forward solutions
