Contract Responsibilities

  • Supporting the global sales team in new business activities, including assisting in the RFP process and initial engagement with customers.
  • Negotiating and drafting contracts with prospects, customers, partners and vendors, requiring an understanding of the business requirements and consultation with key stakeholders such as Service Delivery, Compliance and Marketing.
  • Drafting and negotiating bespoke agreements to support new projects across the business.
  • Working with the wider sales and commercial teams on renewals and amendments for the existing customer base.
  • Working with the wider team to deliver appropriate training and supporting documentation to the sales team.

General Responsibilities

  • Working with the wider sales and commercial teams to develop and implement end‑to‑end contract management processes and legal documentation storage.
  • Instructing and maintaining relationships with external counsel as required.
  • Ensuring that the business is kept up to date with changes in law and that its contractual arrangements appropriately reflect any changes.
  • Providing general expertise and guidance with regard to specific contractual issues and disputes.
  • Reviewing leases and advising on the terms and negotiation of the same.
  • Providing support on projects.
  • Supporting other Senior Legal Counsel team members.
  • Handling other ad‑hoc duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor or Barrister with exceptional post‑qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written as well as spoken form.
  • Prior experience of working in a payroll, SaaS technology environment would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience of working in an international business, particularly with a focus on the US, would be an advantage.
