What makes this role exciting: CloudPay is seeking an experienced Ireland Payroll Manager to lead and grow our Ireland payroll operations within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll leader who empowers teams, thrives on responsibility, team leadership, and takes pride in delivering payroll services that truly support clients and their people. In this role, you will lead and develop the Ireland payroll operations team, creating an environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed and everyone is set up to succeed, while ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery for CloudPay’s Ireland customers.

You will need to be based in the UK for this role. We do not offer sponsorship for this role.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the Ireland Payroll operations team, with direct management of the team (based in the UK).
  • Have overall responsibility for the allocation and processing of Payrolls for Ireland customers, and for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of Payrolls.
  • Close monitoring of the productivity of the team will be required.
  • Be responsible for performance management of the team and be able to drive operational excellence and facilitate upskill and a learning culture.
  • Ensure Supervisors and Processors are best positioned for Service delivery to Clients with operational issues, including customer reviews, implementation issues and product teams.
  • Proactively manage Customer relations avoiding any unnecessary escalation to the EMEA Payroll Director and ensuring Service Reviews are held as required.
  • Interview and hire new team members, and assist with onboarding and training to ensure the team is properly skilled throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Act as a backup to Supervisors during their absence on payroll processing issues.
  • Handle all payroll matters and queries from clients on time and be viewed by Clients as a facilitator to support Service Delivery and as a reliable and actionable escalation point.
  • Co-operate with other departments within CloudPay seeking continuous improvement and strengthening the One CloudPay image for Customers.

Experience needed for this role:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Payroll processing.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team.
  • Experience in dealing with customer escalations.
  • Knowledge of Ireland statutory legislation.
  • Project management.
  • Knowledge management and precise document management skills.
  • High level of problem-solving and solution-focused.
  • Results driven.
  • Confident in managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good work practice in accountability and ownership.
