What makes this role exciting: The Payments Onboarding Specialist plays a key role in delivering a seamless onboarding experience for new customers. Working as part of a cross‑functional project team, the role is focused on ensuring payment services are implemented efficiently while delivering a first‑class customer experience.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring Payment Services are set up for all payrolls and ready for go‑live.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, internal colleagues, external providers, and customers to ensure all implementation tasks are completed in line with the agreed project plan.
  • Attend and lead project meetings (internal and external) as required.
  • Maintain and update project records and implementation documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Clearly define the standard scope of services with Customers, identify any out‑of‑scope requirements, and escalate where necessary.
  • Establish and validate employee bank details, ensuring all configurations are completed and tested successfully.
  • Obtain statutory and third‑party payment requirements from Customers and ensure all configurations are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Create annual calendars to ensure all payments are executed accurately and on time.
  • Facilitate a smooth and effective handover of Customers to the Payments Operations team.

Experience needed for this role:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, providers, and internal stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • Experience supporting SaaS, Payroll, Treasury, or Payment implementations (advantageous/desirable).
  • Strong organisational, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, including the ability to manage customer requests and escalate appropriately.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to sharing information and working across teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability and confidence to quickly learn and adopt new systems.
